Hello I’m Gill Bert
New to the Forum, I’m not really big on Forums so this whole concept is very new to me. However, I’m happy to make your acquaintance.
I’m a retired Electrician having worked in and around the Electrical industry for some 50 years + i still have some involvement albeit a very minor role.
I’m Married with 2 x adult Children. We live in SE London.
I was introduced to Tropical fish keeping as a young lad. We had a tropical tank in the family home when i was living at home with my mother and brothers, I’m the youngest of 4.
I have what i would call a challenging aquarium I call it a tower aquarium. At its widest point its about 500mm wide but stands about 1500mm tall so it’s challenging because when i need to clean or carry out maintenance on the bottom of the tank i need to don a wet suit; but it keeps me active
I have an ssortment of fish I call them my ends of lines as when we restock we tend to buy in groups is say 3, 4 or 6 and as the fish pass on we are always left with only 1 or 2 from the original stock. So, a bit of a mixture really ranging from Silver Dollars (large) to platys (small) latest additions, and a Bristle nose Pleco to a Yo yo Loach and Clown Loach. Along with some Angels and so on.
So, there you are a brief intro’
