Oh my lord.
I got a message today from GrullaQuarters. She lives in the same city as me.
She said that she spotted a cellophane beauty at WM here in town today.
I have GOT to go and check him out.

The problem is that I don't have a tank to put him in right now.
I have to sterilize the 2 tanks I have here before anything can go into them.

Sooo... I guess my question is this -
would it be an awful thing to take him home and leave him in his little cup overnight til I could bring him to the office and set up his sterilized tank tomorrow?

I don't see how it would be any different then him sitting at wal-mart in the cup for another night. The only difference is that the next day he'll end up in a much better and happier place! Considering it would be much safer for him if you seteralize the tank first I don't see how one more night in the cup will cause much harm.

Who knows how long he's been in that cup... I think that you can leave him in there *one* more day, considering if you don't get him then who knows how many more days he'll spend in that cup, whereas you know if you get him he'll be rehomed TO A GOOD HOME within 24 hours. I say do it!

*is a little devil on your shoulder*

You see - you people are supposed to be HELPING me with my addiction here.
NOT giving me reasonable advice and answers.

I guess when I get there I will see if he's still there.

ha ha ha.....sure. Blame it on me! I picked up a beautiful blue betta this morning, but saw this reddish guy, with his fins red close to his body half way, with the other half of them clear and very pretty. I nearly snatched him, but am not knowledgeable enough on betta colors and types to know whether this is as neat as he looked, or if it was a sign of bad health. So I asked BettaMomma....now I too may be contributing to her betta addiction. Bettaholic? LOL...I think SO!

If my horse quits holding onto that baby of hers, I may have to meet BM (oops, that doesn't look good, does it??!) to take a look at those crowntails! Hey, I'm going over there tomorrow AM...I suppose you work though, eh?

Oh, I will definitely take one tomorrow when I drop in whatever it is that I bring home from WM tonight.

I'm off to search out my next acquisition.

Well c'mon! Was he there? Didja get him?

Unfortunately, he was a guy trapped in back, and I know when I dug around and picked him up and got a good look at him, I set him down in front. I hope he was not gone! I thought he was pretty cool, but guess I didn't know he was 'special!'

Is he with you?????

If he had a red body and red fins with clear or white edges to them...that's called a Butterfly.

They are really pretty, I have several..as does TexasWoman...her purple BF DT male is georgeous!

Girls and boys, we have a new addition! :hyper:
I knew EXACTLY which one he was.
He's not a cellophane, but he's a super gorgeous boy.
His body is sort of flesh colored, and then the start of his fins is blood red and the ends of the fins are clear - kinda milky clear. LOVE him.

Man, did they have some gorgeous fish there tonight.
There were even holographic pink ones.
AND.. the best part - not a sick one in the bunch!!!!

They had some gorgeous females too - 2 yellow ones and a pretty little white one with burgundy fins. I had the white/burgundy female in my cart at first, but then I put her back when spotted the one you pointed out it was a no brainer. He is completely gorgeous

He's up on the entertainment center peeking over at Harvey. Harvey is really ticked off. hee hee hee It's rather funny.

I"ll post pics of him tomorrow - I don't have the camera home tonight.

Oh, and the tank is almost done being sanitized for him.
It's taking a shower now. Has been for about 20 minutes. heh heh
yay!!
