Went to a (L)FS and bought two gouramis for my big tank. One was a pinkish/red morph 3-spot, the other a "wild" form 3-spot. They are both smaller than the ones I have in my tank. The pink one settled in fine, but the other hides quite a bit. So I fished it out and put it in my small tank. She is doing just fine, mixing well with the odessa and golden barbs, almost shoaling together as they are similar in size. Had time to admire them today, and only just noticed that her left caudal fin is almost missing, only literally a piece of bone/cartilage sticking out. Must have been nipped by her tankmates at the LFS, as quite of few fishes in there has their tail nipped. Her tails looked intact which was I picked her, but didn't look carefully enough at the other fins.
Hopefully it will grow back soon. I might just leave her in the small tank if things work out. I think it might just be a mini-me of the pink/red morph that I've bought, and I only wanted one of each colour of the 3-spot in the big tank...

PS please tell me World of Water don't sell dyed fish.
