Hi all,
You may have noticed that I've changed the title of this thread. It wasn't to confuse you all, honestly!
It's because I don't see Bones as a "big mistake" anymore and I wouldn't return him even if I could. He is by far my favourite fish, with such personality and so interesting to observe. Although, I may be slightly neglecting the housework and sleep with the time I spend watching him,
I managed to get some photos of Bones whilst he was eating...he puffs his head right up, lol, it makes his head look huge but it means you can see a lot of detail. I swear he's getting visibly fatter by the day!
Yesterday he had live bloodworms and live brine shrimp..he loved it and so did the Guppies. It was hilarious to see the tiny fry taking on brine shrimp as big as themselves or trying to eat a wriggly bloodworm longer than their own body length!!!!
I'm not sure I'll be feeding live shrimp again though as I felt really sorry for them and they reminded me of the "sea monkeys" I used to keep as pets.
The reason you can't see any photos is that I can't work out how to put them on here :stupid: I've put photos on a post before but there was an upload area (green upload button)where I could browse my stuff to find them. Now that isn't there anymore and I don't know how to use the "insert image " link ..it wants me to enter the URL and I don't know what or how to do that. What my other half tried didn't work and it told me that "dynamic pages aren't allowed in the tags"...whatever that means.
Any help appreciated! ????
As I've mentioned before, I'm a bit anal/obsessed when it cames to how the tank looks, especially the substrate. I like everything neat and level and perfectly positioned and when it's out of place it drives me nuts
Well, since having Bones..it's like that therapy where they throw you in the deep end and make you face your fears! LOL. He spends every spare minute digging and burrowing in the sand and my once perfect tank looks a mess........all the ornaments are wonky and falling down into holes he has dug. One hole is so big that about 4 ornaments/fake plants are falling into it. If that isn't bad enough, everything is also covered in sand from his constant burrowing!!!
Every time I look at it I cringe and want to start rearranging everything and it's only the fact that he's so obviously really enjoying himself (and getting better) that stops me!! I'll post some pics of that too when I finally figure it out, lmao.
Thanks,
Nikki :)
