How To Reduce Cloudy Water From Sand

Could i get corys with my stock : 3 guppie, 3 fry guppies, 2 neons and 2 glowlights. im not sure if shrimps include in stocking :/

Anyone online that can help me. i took the gravel out and alot of the dirt is just moving around making the water murkey. i turned the filter on to try and remove it and its been about 15 mins and can see some changes but have to wait a little while longer

The water looks near clean and i have pointed out that when the dirt settles it sort of rises up again at some point. also i spotted a guppy fry in the tank

Should i add sand now? the water looks just like when i move the gravel around releasing dirt

The water looks slitly cloudy to crystal clear but it looks better then how i had it before also is the pad i cut and put in the filter be alright as im using it to trap particles if it does that

I decided to leave mine bare bottom for a few days to let all the crud settle from removing gravel, will then vac the bottom and remove half water before adding sand, probably one evening this week.

i changed from gravel to sand and at the start the water was very cloudy and ammonia was present by 0.25ppm so i did a water change and 30 mins after that it looks clear but not crystal clear :/ Could i get corys :)

So your change is completed?! Show some pics! How did the bottle work? Did you pre-wash or straight in with the bottle. Corys would get on with your community, but depends on how many fish you have now (you don't give numbers in your signature) and your tank capacity. Corys best in groups of six or more.

Sending pics is a problem at the moment because i have to see how to do it :( but when i put the sand in the tank with the bottle method it made the water cloudy like how i saw it before but now its near enough crystal clear.

Also had a suprise as when i put the fish in the bucket i noticed 5 guppy fries and i was wondering are they stow aways or did they just give birth but i was wondering that my female gave birth a few days. I then saw one of my fries stomach looks smaller which may of mean it gave birth for the first time and its 6 months old meaning its family is going :)

No, i put them in a bucket including my shrimps which crawl out the net when its just above the water without water which scared me :0
