Thanks

Oliver

Oh and on a fairly tight budget, I am happy making the housing.

im just using a 10 watt screw in florescent light from walmart in the stock hood, for your tank im not familliar with any lights that would fit those dimensions, i search around on the internet.

Hi sorry I'm in the UK would this lighting unit work with basic corals, in fact there is a list of the corals I want on page 2
Casing for lighting http://www.hayesaquatics.co.uk/ssl/aspcart...?product_id=358
what bulb would you recommend for this?

Many Thanks

Oliver

that lighgt will probly work for those corals since they are low light and your tank is shallow, but idk what Turbinaria reniformi is...

I'm not that familiar with what a PL tube is but after doing some google searching it seems they may be the same as a PC tobe in the states. If so, that rig will work well with the proper bulb in it. What I'd reccomend is a 50/50 daylight and actinic bulb.

Also I sanded the back of the tanks of last night, having not practiced as you recommend my to  I just went ahead, it doesn't look amazing but it doesn't look bad. hopefully with the LR I will be able to hide it  . I will post a few pics of the tanks so you guys can give me some ideas as to what to do.

you mgiht be able to keep zoas since ur tank is only 7.5 inches high

From what I read, smaller tanks need more light then bigger tanks. I only read that from one source so it might be incorrect.
