High Ph In Small 35ltr Container/tank

Well from the information in your post, the only things I can think of are that the individual fish was more weakened by the whitespot than it appeared and the move to the container was more than it could stand. A move is always an automatic bit of a shock, so that could be it. The other thing might be the pH I guess, as there might have been too much of a pH change without a slow-drip move or something.

Maybe someone else will see something else I don't. Sorry for your loss. What you're doing now seems ok otherwise.

Thanks Waterdrop. Looks like I created some confusion though. The whitespot outbreak happened with the previous fish I brought - the platys weren't about at that point. After the whitespot, I decided against adding fish directly into the main tank in future.

The platys are the newest lot of fish - and I have quarenteened them.

Will edit my first post to make it clearer. Thanks again for replying... :)
