I'm Monad.

I've been wanting to keep fish for years. My dream is one day having a reef tank. For now, I'm starting with a 16 gallon blackwater tank. It's about two weeks old, cycled, planted, and has three fish and a snail.

I am curious how you test the water in your tank. I have one on which I have a digital monitor for temp., pH and Conductivity/TDS. Once I began staining the water, my API color based test kits were useless.

What kind of fish are you keeping in there...?

Right now I have some Kuhli Loaches and I'm loving the little guys.

I plan on adding some sparkling gouramis later once my tank is cycled a bit more and or some small tetras. Right now the plants are going crazy keeping the nitrates low. They're not even showing up in the water tests.
