Hi New On Here And Wondering...

The guppys would be a problem if you had angels. The angels would probably eat them....

I'm sure there are plenty of other centerpiece fish you could go for, my heads just a bit fuzzy right now.

Could you maybe get some more pics of each krib seperately? Lol. It's not just the pink tummy that says the krib is female, there is also the fin shape. Females are rounded, males are pointed.
Judging by your picture of the adult krib it looks male, going by both stomach and fins.

The easiest way to identify a male krib is by the tail. Males have a pointed tail shaped rather like the ace of spades in a card deck. They are also usually bigger/longer than the females.

Your abult krib is a male.

If you are not too attached to the kribs what about a pair of Rams? Although I'd be tempted by keyholes - I saw some recently and they are pretty nice in real life.

Did you say earlier that your tank was at 20 C?

If so, it should be at 24-25 C - do you have a heater?

right, been trying to get pictures of the kribs, however they wont stay still, so i know i got all 4...but over about 7 pics lol

I'm no expert on sexing kribs, and the only one that I'd stake money on is the one where I put 'Definitely' next to it.
But those would be my guesses.
Thing is it might not help you much as you'd still then need to ID which ones you wanted to keep etc.

Just to confirm your eel is a weather loach - afraid its not a 3 inch fish, they have many different names in the trade java loach is one of them heres a good article about them.

ah right, how come he's never really grown? i hardly ever see him tbh, but he only seems 3" length and about 1cm tall. when he comes out he as mad moments swims round like mad, then calms down swims about a bit, then disappears again to whereever it is he goes. Hes got to be at least 2year old, more like 3 i would of thought

thanks

Just been doing my pleco research, looking at the different ones on the aquatics to your door site, fish prices seem about the same as my local just the delivery which is obviously pricey. And i noticed the king tiger plecos are £55!! - im not so keen on spending that kind of cash on a fish, so im now favouring the clown pleco i know my local fish store has in stock and hes alot lot cheaper. Max size of approx 8cm, just one thing, will he still clean the glass the same as my old plec?

thanks

Oh by the way

Aquarist Classified - I did a search for king tiger plecs, I saw some 1" specimens for sale for £8.50 and some 4" for £25 Link to page

Also if you check out www.plecofanatics.com, that is full of plec breeders so I'm sure you would find someone with juvies available at reasonable prices.

1" is fine for me, yorkshire is 104miles though, thanks for looking though i'll look on that other site now

thanks again
lee

I figured as it's an actual fish shop then they may do postage... if not there are still plenty of pleco breeders around. You just need to find one near you. Where abouts are you based?
