As Les says I definately would avoid Puffers with aggrssive cichilds. Our first (and last) attempt at mixing 6 - 3/4 inch Dwarf Puffers with 4 - 2 1/2 Mbunas ended with a dead mbuna and the Puffers in their own tank. Even the most well behaved puffer will snap if harrassed....and they will hold a grudge.

hmm i think its too much of a risk to put them in with my firemouths i had pretty much decided that i couldnt put them in before i asked the questioni dont think that the cichlids are intensionally aggressive just a little clumsey around other fishall the time swiming into them. i could see a pufdfer in a 2 foot tank when i get more room right now im thinking of going and getting the car and taking a shopping trip for some plants. they dont exactly have much choise in the garden center but its something i need to do for the larger tank.
