My fish are all dying and i dont know why.
It started off with my little plattie who was fine one minute dead the next.
on examination after i got her out of the tank she had a red mark on her chest??????
the next day we lost 2 neon tetra, not sure why couldn't examine them because they were eaten. (fished out remains)
On the third day my honey dwarf guarmi died with no visable symptoms? just stoped breathing while i watched.
the fourth day my fav fish, spotted talking catfish started to do strange things floating at the top of the tank then swimming with absolutly no idea of what was up or down, total confusion.

initialy (from advise under this forum) we treated for ICH, the moring of the 4th day i visited the local fish shop for advise and was sold a general tonic for bacterial infections.

i rushed home (found talking CF dead) treated the tank and hoped for the best.

Yesturday i noticed my female honey had now developed a large red lump/spot on the side of her mouth. moved her to the quarintene tank treated it and hoped for the best. She is still with us and eating fine but the red spot has become more swollen.

My question what the h*** is going on.
i have tested my water like a 1000 times already making sure ive not missed anything.
ammonia is 0 nitrite is 0 nitrate is just above 0, Ph 8.0
i have run out of ideas

i did notice last night that my fish seem (i might be going crazy though) less coloured that normal, my pleco in particular is now more a light sandy colour as appose to his usual darker black. :dunno:

hmmmm.
You treated for ich...was there a case of ich in the tank? Sorry if that's a stupid question, I may have just misunderstood.

How old is your tank?

Do you use anything around it,like Lysol or Febreze?

initialy yeah, some of my fish were flicking into things and had a funny refection on its scales. did one course of treatment but ICH never developed so i stoped treating.

dont use anything around it - oh actually i have been known to wipe the outside glass down with windowlene but i have not done that for along time
