I always aim for a head of foam protruding from the inlet of the collection, like you get on kids bubble bath. That gradually gets pushed over the edge, collects in teh cup and then breaks down into dirty water. Anything more than that and I find I'm just wasting water and forever emptying the darn cup lol.

we always have a half day on the 18th any way. ok back to fish LoL. plan for xmas day.
1 open presents
2 setup stuff
3 to the lfs for salted water (next day)
4 put water in tank
5 turn on the heater,pumps ect
6 wait for the water to heat up
7 go to lfs for live rock
8 pick up some nice LR
9 put it in the tank
10 aqua scape it
11 done

10 aqua scape it
11 aqua scape it again!
12 sit and pet rock watch
13 it's never done

Yes indeed - just put some black bin liners over it to keep out the light.

Woo hoo, you are nearly there Harry, you must be so excited

There is no way that I would be able to wait, it would have to be, unwrap, set-up, water in on Christmas Day and then take photos for your journel and us

Boxing Day, check temp and SG and go get live rock, take loads of photos - want to see a photo of you unwrapping tank, setting-up and choosing your live rock, putting it in, aquascaping........ you get the drift
