The pictures are excellent and the fry look like they are doing very well. Keep up the good work.

You might have moved the eggs too quickly this time. It's very easy to damage them before they set up and harden a bit. Even so, this latest batch gave you a good number.

cheers Inchworm, i think you may be right ill be a bit more patient if/ when i get some more was i ok to add 1 day old fry in with the 3 week old fry...? didnt know if they would be small enough to get eaten, but they seem to be ok although its very hard to do a head count

Oooh a good sized shoal - at least 8. Preferably about 12? Hehe you're a gem!

I find it best to try and give between 10 and 15 mins for the eggs to harden a bit, as i've found to my own dismay that if you remove them just after they have been layed they are very,very soft and so easy to pop. No matter how carefull you are.

If they are trying to eat the eggs as you are letting them harden just keep you hand in the tank and swish them away, i've found this trick doesn't even bother putting them off laying more eggs.

thanks for the advice strontiumdog, ill bear it in mind i think i was too soon in removing the last batch but im still learning and all the advice i can get is very helpfull...

thanks , the corys were in my com tank before i put them in their own tank and unknown to me they spawned in the com tank, i only found out when i found a juvi cory in the external.... but after having a tank to themselves i think it was about 4 weeks until i got the first spawn.

since feeding the micro worms the fry seem to have grown quite a bit, im not sure if its down to the worms or not but they seem to like them i have 2 cultures at the minute but might need to set up a 3rd as they seem to be getting smaller. i have been leaving them for a day if they look low on worms and using freeze dried brine shrimp instead and the worms seem to be back the next day...!

Get another going ASAP if not 2 you'll thank me later, cause i left mine too late. Just a heads up mate,my mistake anothers fortune LOL.
