i have been keeping a close eye on my gold stripe corys since they spawned last as they have not been as active as normal but as the title says i just went in to feed them and they were going nuts again all over the tank in a large group. i looked closer and spotted about 15 eggs so far, i dont know how long theyve been at it but i got about 50 eggs last time so fingers crossed i will get another good size bunch :good:
i left them to it and will go back in about an hour or 2 to get the eggs......

just collected about 50 eggs :kana: :yahoo:   they are in a tub with an airstone so fingers crossed i may have more fry maybe monday

you should start posting some corries out to other members :)
congrats.

Hi Nick, if the first lot survive then i plan on keeping about 8 or 9 so will have the rest to sell if anyone wants them..... also whatever make it from this current load of eggs will be for sale too. ive spoken to a few lfs and they all would like some too but i would rather let them go to people on here first if poss to give them a decent chance :good:

:hyper: Awesome! Keep ups posted (dead jealous  ) all the best luck
will do for sure, fingers crossed :good:

50 thats awesome :good:

Congrats!!!
i think i have been lucky both times as i walked in on them when the first few eggs were laid so could get to them as soon as they had finished and none of them could get eaten by hungry corys  the first batch was about the same too :)

Out of interest do yours spawn with the lights on or off? mine always seem to spawn when the tank lights have been off.

Just wondered :)

i would be interested in a good colony of good looking corries
i already have 6 C.trilineatus which i want to breed, but im unsure if putting other species of corries in the same tank will confuse me if the do start to breed!
i would ideally like to get more C.trilineatus

Trilineatus are fab nick,i have been having regular small spawns off them,20 fry varying from 5 days-2 weeks with 10 eggs due to hatch tonight hopefully :)

Although gold stripes are awesome looking corys :)

well the offer stands if your interested :good: but if you up your numbers on the trilineatus then you are also covered if harlequins has 1 or 2 spare.....

just went to check on the gold stripe tank and found another 16 eggs :hyper: i guess they hadnt finished...... now in the tub with the others

another 7 eggs found late last night :good: all are in the tub and most are looking good so far.

They're certainly keeping you busy
 ive been out and treated them to a new (2nd hand) rio 180 tank today, a bargain at £50 with everything except water and fish.... so i can grow the juvis up with the parents before selling or whatever i decide to do with them... will have to wait a bit though as they are still too small.
hopefully be on here monday saying i have loads more fry too all being well :good:
how are yours getting on?
