You can but maracyn from the US via E-bay, but the best option is to buy the unbranded anti-biotic off of the web. Google for erythromycin. I bought mine from here - http/www.inhousedrugstore.co.uk/infectio...ythromycin.html and havent been arrested yet! I think the doses are in Georges algae pinned article.

There are two option,

1) 3 day COMPLETE block out of the tank, turn the CO2 off.

2) Macaryn antibiotics.

3 day black outs never worked for me-looks good for a few days and then comes back. Maracyn works a dream, never came back, but the photos are not conclusive though.

If the black out and KNO3 dosing doesnt work then i think i shall try the Maracyn

If you are referring to the e-myacin I doubt if its cheaper on e-bay. Thats 100 x 400mg tabs, so equivalent of 200 maracyn tabs, which if memory serves me correct are 200mg. A quick look on ebay shows 16 200mg tabs at about 3.50, which is equivalent to 8 400mg tabs, but then again you'd have to be a bit unlucky to need 100 tabs!

and dont forget that antibiotics have a shelf life . i got some anti-biotics from my doctor a few months back and the shelf life was only 6 months. even the stuff from ebay i got a few weeks back has a expiry date of 07/2007 .so if you do buy 100 tabs of the antibiotics you better share it with your friends quick
