Fluval Spec Work In Progress

But for 35 quid you could buy 2 years worth of excel in a tank that size lol. Pearlings not important anyway mate, they'll still load your water with oxygen. :)

Fair comment mate.

I've just had a look at your 1 litre Pico it looks excellent :good: I reckon one would look excellent on the Kitchen windowsill and being so small I could convince the other half it's a vase not a tank :fun:

Where did you get the tank from?

The diffuser on the fluval mini kit isn't that mini though... :/

I've just had a look at a pic of it... bludy ell I see what you mean, that would almost fill my tank!

I doubt the CO2 would be much benefit with the standard light anyway and I'd probably try DIY yeast before anything else.

The yeast can be very unreliable as you never know how much it is releasing... :/ so maybe just stick with dosing liquid :good:

I got it from my local Swallow Aquatics, it had a Betta in which quickly went in a larger tank, the lighting and filter I built, guides are in my sig. :)

I've had a read through excellent guides and a great little tank, hmmm now to find something similar.

I'm bored so here's a few pics of my Nerite, I'll try and get some better/closer shots when I can find the adapter for my tripod.

Cheers mate, I hate those snails, had two when I started out and they slaughtered my tank with eggs that I couldn't get off. Ruined my first nano. :'(

I remember reading something about there eggs being a pain to get off I hope I don't have the same problem.

nice pic of the snail...i had one in an old tank and agree, the eggs are a complete mare to get off. DIY yeast would work on a tank this size. :good:

Lets hope I've got a male then. I quite like the little fella! but he has a nasty habit of climbing on the large crypt leaves and uprooting them.

they also sometimes go for walks in open top tanks. Are you planning on getting shrimp?

Luckily the Spec has a lid. Yeah I'm planning to start with about 10 Red Cherries.

if you need more Riccia Jon, give me a shout.
