So, i have decided i am going to buy a Fluval Roma 125, and was thinking about what fish i want in it. For definate i was thinking:

2 Angel Fish
Was Thinking Shark Catfish, but am not too sure if they are ok for the size of the tank
Also same with Silver Shark
Was Thinking about some Tetra's not sure which ones yet.

Let me know what you think.

Cheers

Hi

Shark Catfish are actually a Brackish/Marine species that are born in freshwater, These don't live long if kept in freshwater and require you to increase the salt level throughout their lives.

Silver Sharks also get way too big i'm afraid, (13 inches eventually) These require a 300L tank as the bare minimum, and if kept in a 125L would outgrow it within 4-5 months.

Angels are a possibility, but as the tank is small you would need to avoid tetras and other fish that are too small as there will be little room for them to escape if the angels become aggressive

silver sharks.....i assume you mean bala sharks? grow very large and as mentioned need about 300l

silver dollars...may be ok for a short while but are very skittish, also eat all your live plants if you have any

angels will be ok, depending on the footprint of your tank.....but will not be ok with neons or cardinals (tetra)as these are natural prey for them

i have kept pristella tetra and harlequins with angels with no problems.

have you looked at maybe dwarf cichlids? like bolivian rams etc.....lovely looking fish and quite easy to care for

ok can some one list some fish i could have! lol
