Fishheaded's 10g Journal

:good: Wow, very beautiful. Did you decide about your fish situation?

Thanks randallhart, yeah, I decided that I want a black&white clown, but its so hard to find one for a good price out here, so if I ever do, ill just replace the firefish. :good:

Don't want to repeat but saltwaterfish.com sells them. But currently they are sold out. It may be in the reading but do you have a skimmer for your tank?

Yeah, looks like saltwaterfish.com is sold out of em. They are hard to find, and when I do, they are like $70 :( And I dont have a protein skimmer.

I will keep my fingers crossed.lol
Hopely the next shipment is just for you.

Anyone? (post above) :)

Also forgot to mention, thought the lady at my lfs fragged me a bad piece of GSP the day i got the other additions, but it opened today :D. (if i leave this little frag on the substrate without it being on a rock, will it still spread?):

Nice looking hammer there man. I am trying to find an interesting coloured one here in Brisbane but they are all the same brown colour. Very cool.

Hey nano, yep they are gsp :good:
They havent been opening up for the last couple days, I have no idea why

Thanks daniel! :)

If it where me I would remove the fish and corals into another tank. Scoup out all the stuff you already have in, replace with new sand. 50% water change as you will no doubt stired up alot of rubbish while removing the old. Use filter floss in any filter system you have to remove all the fine particles quickly. Test water once its settled and clear and as soon as everything looks good add fish and corals back. I personally wouldnt attempt to do it with fish and corals in the tank, though I know people on here have. Good luck with it :) are you going for fine white sand this time ?

Thanks littleme, as for the sand, you got it :good: white sand :)

Update: Last night came home and my firefish was missing...I looked everywhere, in my filter, and all around in my tank, but no luck. After a little more diligent searching, I found him in the back, I guess he decided to do a little carpet surfing. :( The top of my tank has a lid, but it has a slight opening where the filter is and he managed to angle his jump perfectly... (ill take a pic of the opening)

R.I.P. little guy :-(

Only fish now is the perc, this weekend my brother is going to buy me a b&w clown :D

Sorry to hear about you firefish.

To get the sand out you might want to try making up so new SW then syphon the sand out with a hose while doing the water change. Allot easyer than uping the livestock and LR
