I only count 9 dorsal spines, indicating it as a hybrid :). 10 spines = percula, 8 spines = ocellaris, 9 spines = hybrid.

Yes. If you have the high-res shot of that picture you can probably count the spines better though... If he does truly have 9 spines, it's some type of hybrid.

I myself have a true perc and a hybrid pair

Your right, took a good look at him and only saw 9. :good:

Lol, i want to buy another true perc for mine right now or maybe a black & white one, but that means ill be having 3 fish in a 10g (2 clowns & 1 firefish). Will this cause any problems with the bioload? If so i probably ill either just leave the firefish and perc in there or give the firefish to my LFS and get another clown.

With my very short experience of clowns I would say no. They are supper teratorial, and as your other is resident its his tank and he would no doubt beat the poo out of any other clown you put in there. The tank size would also be an issue, no where to hide for any new fish that go in.

you can i think if the new one you gets a mini one smaller then the one you have now, thee probably fight for a while to deciede pecking order but may eventurally pair up, pm adam crouch see how his are getting on i no he just added a perc for his black and white or vice versa in his nano .... see how he got on!

Thanks guys, i'm not worried about territorial issues, im more concerned about the bioload. My clown hasn't bothered my firefish ever since i put him in there, also my perc paired up with my ocellaris before he passed away. So im probably just going to get rid of the firefish, and go with a b&w clown :good:

where are your mushrooms and/or zoanthids? Its not a reef without those :)

Nice tank and very nice bubble coral :)

Lol i know seriously, I've been wanting to get some, but the ones at my LFS dont really catch my eye and i would order some online but the prices for shipping and handling are a little up there. Im just patiently waiting till i see one at my lfs that i want and will be satisfied with. :)

Thank you! the bubble got so big, i had to move my trumpet over because of stinging issues. ive been target feeding my corals alot more now, because i notice a big difference the next day; they become much larger and expand more, i guess theyre pretty happy :good:

I really want a yellow leather, but i have not yet seen any around my lfs here in US, arizona..has anybody ever ordered livestock from www.saltwaterfish.com? I want to know if they are any good
