They can't be transported from their current planet safely to Earth.
They eat people.

They're salt water (for a freshwater tank, or vice versa).
They're too boring (who wants to watch a stone fish do nothing for 23 hours a day while it blends in with the rocks? Not me).
Water parameters are too way-off those of the other species in the tank.
