I have an 2.5 gallon tank kicking around my house... I was thinking of useing it as a quarinteen tank (hope I spelled that right...) but I think it is too small... but yet Iam also thinking on useing it as an babie tank but still I think its too small what should I do with it...

I would use it as a hospital tank for smaller injured / diseased fish

thats what I use my 5 gallon for

you could put a betta in it

or an african dwarf frog.

it would be ok for babies when they're too small to survive life in the comunity tank

You could go with a betta, ADF, and ghost shrimp.

It's always prudent to have a hospital tank on hand to save money by preventing epidemics...

a hospital tank sounds good to me... the only thing is I only have the tank.. I got some extra pumps laying around what else would i need for the hospital tank???

:kana: I have a 2.5 gal also, with a glass top, plus a little pump and airstone.
In it I have a nice red betta, as well as 3 white cloud minnows. Don't need a heater or fillter. It's a pretty nice combination of fish, and no it's not overstocked as I do partial water changes and clean gravel quite a bit.

ummm thats whats I need is a top.. where did ya get ur glass top from or umm how could I make onne?

:kana: ZX300SI... The glass top has a little handle on it, and I bought it separate from the tank at Pet World here in Milwaukee. Both the tank and top are made by All-Glass Aquarium Co.
