I have had 5 WCMMs for at least 2 years now and have just moved them from a small coldwater tank to a 64 litre, filtered, planted tropical tank. I have read a lot about these, IMO, beautiful, fish and would like to learn anything more about them that I can! Mine have never bred as up until now I did not pay them the attention they deserve and they have probably not been kept in optimum conditions, as I am just now learning about water chemistry etc having bought a tropical tank. They have been living in this tank for over a week now and seem much happier! The males are displaying a lot more and even chasing each other, as well as the females. I would like to breed them, and have read a lot of different opinions on the optimum temperatures etc for this. I know they need a lot of plants, which I have, can anyone give me any more advice on helping the process along, or just any interesting info on these fish?
Also, I would like to eventually keep them with guppies as this is initially why I bought the tropical tank, does anyone have any experience in keeping these two fish together, or with any other species?
