Indeed, probably in part because they really are like one giant gonad... or maybe because Aphrodite gave birth to Eros prompty after springing from an oyster shell? Were they considered an aphrodisiac before that myth began, I wonder?

I'd love to be able to cliam that I would eat my pet fish....but actually, not a chance.
Oysters are an aphrodisiac becuase otherwise no-one would buy the things...IMO nowt to do with Greek legend, all to do with enterprising fishmongers. Why are asparagus an aphrodisiac but not carrots (or parsnips..)?

ha, chocolate is good, but if you really want to get somewhere with a gal, sticky toffee pudding with custards is a winner every time.
