I was just wondering if some of you say for example you kept bass or salmon or some other big fish like arrowanas or something if you ate them if they died of old age or they got big enough to eat? Or do you ever like have a fish that is really big and you paid big bucks for it and it died if you would ever have it stuffed and hang it on your wall or something?

Durbkat what a subject, lol, no i wouldn't as i class them as pets not for food, fish are friends.lol

Oh yeah "Fish are friends, not food" Voice of the sharks from finding nemo

I've heard of people eating their pet Oscar when they don't want them anymore. (Because if they died from a disease, not good.)

They're actually supposed to taste quite good!

I would have no problems eating a nice big haddock or Cod em but i dont keep them so guess not... a ram supper please, maybe not

dont eat fish.

but i was thinking I could stuff it and fit it with one of those mechanical systems that make it move and sing. wait, thats been done, i think id be sued...

No though none of my fish are big enough to eat anyways, their food specifically states not for fish meant for human consumption. In other words, probably not a good idea to eat your pet fish. :)

well in indo they eat clown loach, and in various parts of asia they eat most varieties of pleco!!!!! :X

i don't eat fish myself (although smoked salmon goes down quite nicely) however if a fish dies of disease you cna't eat it  and if a fish dies of old age then i imagine it would be a bit tough (and who's to say it died of old age and not fish tb!!!! )

so in a long winded fashion.. my answer is no i would not eat my fish if it died!!!!

kat :D
