Dijon Has Spawned

Thanks for the kind coments on the pics, will take some more in about 5 days time.

Also I forgot to add to my post yesterday, that i've counted 28 in total. Only because I took the fanwort out cause it was looking very tattered. they must have been hiding in it.

Be a bit hard for reserving one cause they all look the same ATM, and when they grow a bit more you may think uuurkkkk don't like them LOL.

I don't care, it's obvious that they will turn out beauties from their parents! :good:

Finage starting to show, I like those signs now you can somewhat tell what is going to be a crowntail trait and what is going to be vailtail trait. Colour shouldn't be to far away :)

I think you are quite right about the finage, but as this is my first time. I'll have too wait a while longer to confirm it.

Also you are spot on about the colour. got in from work today strait to the tank to feed them, and you can see faint signs of colours apearing. I'm trying to get a good pic for my records.

A couple of pics to update.

First pic is very poor but, gives an idea of the colour starting to show.

The first pic is taken near the surface where the light is stronger, and at the moment thats where you are only able to notice the colours comming through. It's very transparent at the moment but i'm sure the colour will start to show better in a few weeks.

Selling I've read from about 3 months old but again this will depend on thier growth rate.

One thing I must ask you Haych, those divider you made how big are the holes. Need to make a big plastic storage box into a divided tank.

Beautiful pics of your fry there SD, all the fry should turn out combtails with none being solid veil or crowntail that is if the mother is a veiltail, do you have any recent pics of her? I bred a spadetail plus crowntail together with 25 surviving fry and all were combtail with varying degrees of webbing, yours look like they may resemble the mother more and will be blue/red which would be the dominant colour in this pairing although it would be great to see some the fathers colour!
