Any quick ways of getting rid of it.. I have it all over my malawi tank my tank has been running since just after christmas an I adding a sponge filter a few days ago to try to help the other filter out...
It's so annoying to look at....

Nerite snails are the easiest. You could also try reducing your photo-period.

The photo period is the amount of time you have your tank lights on. :D

Nerites won't reproduce, if that is what you are worried about.  I believe they need to be brackish to be fertile or something silly like that...

They can lay eggs, but the eggs only hatch in marine or brackish conditions, methinks.

Yea, they lay eggs, alright.  Little while ones.  But they don't hatch.  Silly creatures.

I meant to say that I think they can lay them in freshwater, but nothing happens. Regardless, they'd be a good choice for OP as there is nothing wrong with diatoms. They are quite harmless but unsightly. With the nerite snails, you get the diatoms removed with the bonus of cute little snails!

I only have my lights on at most 8 hours a day but usually when I come home from work at 6 till bout 10...
