Wuv what do u do when ur BBS hatcherie is down and ur fry dont like MWs much?

It happens,they've just gotta tough it out. I sometimes offer frozen bbs but they usually don't take to kindly to it either. In the meantime,do everything possible to get your eggs to hatch. Add more salt,shine a light on it while it aerates,warmer spot...cooler spot etc...

Well the fry are once again growing little by Little....

Theres quite a few that are atleast this big __

My camera broke down on me gonna check it today

Cause I want all of u guys to see a picture of a betta Fry with a full tummy of BBS

Orange as they can be......


I got a few questions....

Ok some of the fry seem to be floating Bt then when I toch the water they jet down

IDK whats going on.....

Also like I said in my post above should I buy frozen Baby Brine Shrimp?

Im going to petsmart today to buy some salt and I was wondering if I should get anything for the fry?

Like Frozen foods?

Any Ideas....

I would buy frozen BBS. They don't work for some, but you never know! Mine like it okay.


I still care about the babies, kiddo, don't get bummed. This will be useful to folks in the future even if not too many folks respond. Often nobody responds to my updates either. However, they read yours and mine, you can tell by how many views they have!

I'm not sure, I think I paid 5 or 6 bucks last time I bought some.

My fry don't seem too keen on the frozen daphnia, but maybe you'll have better luck. I'm going to try shaved bloodworms tonight, I think they're big enough now. They weren't very interested last time I tried them, but they've grown in the last week, so maybe now.

Anyhoo,bbs is worth the 5 bucks, if you only use it occasionally it will last forever and a day. I'm glad to hear your babies are doing so well You must be doing a great job

Man, now I'm feeling guilty! I always try to post in both of your threads about fry development, not because I always have much to say, but because I want people to keep posting the updates - They are so helpful and interesting! I'll try to be better about notes for the both of ya! )

But it's true that sometimes I wind up talking to myself in a thread,it doesn't bug me because I usually go back and compare my spawns with the others.

Exactly! The log helps you, it helps others trying to spawn or trying to understand the process, and it's also like a little baby book. Even if no one responded, it would be great just for those things.

When I started breeding bettas I would ALWAYS look at Wuvs page when she was breeding her Orangies and then when She bred her MGz and then when she bred her Plakats
