Work in progress:

Than Betta agression might be a more serious matter
I like this design better than the real one! Wouldn't it be funny to have bettas walking around your house like that??

Remember the cichlid I mentioned in my first post. This one is a show winner

Talk about a swelled head! That is a show-winner!

The desire to pop the swelling is there. Somebody get me a pin or a knife... Must cut off it's growth. Fighting the urge, fighting...

Has anybody seen the original pilot episode for Star Trek, the one with Captain Pike? That fish looks like one of those aliens with the huge brains. It's utterly amazing that people will judge that as a show winner. To me, that looks uncomfortable as H E double hockey sticks! But what do I know about the standards of beauty for a cichlid?

  I can't really look at it too long. Ewwww!

Oh my  Seeing that picture was perfect timing, my daughter was just gushing all over our midas and I called her over to look, she says "He looks like an evil genius!"

I don't even know how he can stay upright. Talk about a splitting headache :S

That is how far they have pushed the flowerhorn. I hope we never do that to our betta's.

The fish swims oddly, like it has trouble supporting its head.

It really has to be a struggle to swim. I would imagine he was quite the sight in person :look:

Very appropriate for Pumpkinhead season. But it seems a little "mad breeder" to me--you know breeders gone mad? Of course I love my Oranda goldies--not alot of difference, I guess. Ah! what 100's of years of selective breeding can accomplish! We are so talented! Fish that can't stay upright or carry the weight of their tails. (This one is sacracasim not cynicism.)
