Coronavirus...post your thoughts here...

I would hate to see how the governments react when aliens come to earth. Um, ah, um, ah, wtf do we do? Um, ah, um, ah.

This is good practice I suppose. We are having an emergency safety drill. everyone is included.

If anyone would know how people react when aliens come, you would...since you ARE ONE.

shhh, don't tell everyone.

Besides, I am only monitoring you lot to see if you blow yourselves up again. You silly primates keep doing that. When you stop fighting amongst yourselves and work together, you might join the rest of the universe and see what wonders are out here. :)

They are talking about shutting down everything but essential services and only allowing people to travel for food and medication or see the doctor.
They’ve already done that in the small city of Waco, TX where my daughter lives. Only 1 adult from family can go grocery shopping.

Washington state has a lockdown order now. I just looked at the numbers. One person is dying every hour in new York from this. Washington is already out of ventilators as well as other states

I wish the Australian government would do that. Currently we have families here (mum, dad, half a dozen kids) running around touching stuff and running into people. It does my head in. I threatened to kick a kid half way across the shop the other day because he was doing stupid things around me. His mum called him back but they should leave the little buggers at home so they don't spread their diseases.

It's not like the parents need to bring the kids to the shops. Most of them are over 8 and can be left at home for 30 minutes while the adults go to the shop. Most of the people here only live 1 or 2 km from the shop and it only takes them a couple of minutes to drive there so the kids should be fine at home for 15-20minutes.

New York now has more cases than South Korea or France.

It depends on the maturity level. Kids 15 years ago may have been able to be left alone at 8 but most 8 year olds now have been babied their whole lives and dont know how to do pretty much anything and have never been told "no"

You can't leave kids that young alone, they will set will eventually hurt themselves.
Depends on the kid. Mine are sensible and could be trusted to be responsible.
During this lockdown though? Their boredom is equalled by their stupidity! Today they were using the open tumble drier as a football goal, then they had a competition to see how many pegs they could attach to their ears!:whistle:

We were making our own beds and doing the vacuum cleaning at the age of 6, washing dishes at 7, cooking dinner by the age of 8, using the washing machine at 9 and working in the shop by the age of 10.

I had a friend Nikki, who was a single mum and had 1 son. By the time he was 5, he could cook scrambled eggs and toast, new how to use the washing machine and could do the washing up. It all comes down to the parents. Nikki and I both agree that the kids should be able to take care of themselves at an early age just in case something bad happens to the adults. The kids are still cared for and looked after, but they are taught basic housework from an early age.

That reminds me of a co-worker I had in the pet shop. He was asked to vacuum the floor and he said "How?" He was 18 and never used a vacuum cleaner or mopped the floors. He got lots of practice after that :)

At least they are creative :)

He was a mummy's boy. His mum doted over him and wouldn't let him grow up. We helped him grow up at the shop. A few years later he started his own carpet cleaning business :)
