Guys, check out the shelves at my Walmart!

The TP isle is the one that scared me. Here is KY the Walmart’s are closing at 11:00 PM, so they can restock over night.

Walmart’s are usually open 24/7.

Also, Amazon is hiring 100,000 more people to help with distribution.

Well I was just looking at the soap in my sink as I washed my hands and I wonder if all the extra washing and hand sanitizer will affect the wildlife??

Yes shocking, our prime minister is telling people not to stock pile as there is no shortage for food...

Same here, although my walmart closes at 11 regularly so I think they're going to 9:30

The costco headquarters in Issaquah (near me) which has a few thousand people working in offices, decided that because the retail workers couldn't work from home, neither could the office workers, one person got it from another and has since died.

Here in Snohomish county we have our first set of coronavirus orphans. :( a 42 year old mum of 6 has died of it. Their father died 2 years ago. The oldest has come home from college to care for the kids.

No, it really shouldn’t.

That’s a good point! How can we stockpile, if there’s nothing to stockpile!

The hand sanitizer can affect the environment if it gets into local waterways. However, it also depends on what is in the hand sanitiser. Alcohol based ones will simply get diluted in the water and won't do anything. But disinfectant based ones can poison the environment.

In addition to the above, if diluted disinfectants come in contact with bacteria, the bacteria could start to develop a resistance to it and this could cause major issues further down the track.

Having said all that, the reduction in aircraft flying around the world will have a noticeable affect on air quality and bird life. Lots of birds get killed every year by aircraft. And there will be a big improvement in air quality when the planes stop flying. This happened after 9/11 too when aircraft were grounded. There was a significant improvement in air quality all around the world.

Well my dads been on antibiotcs since last Saturday evening and a stronger one amoxycilin since Tuesday afternoon, he feels a bit better and from what i can here clearly coughing a lot less and the coughs sound better but still has a fair amount of mucous in his lungs. Can we safely say this is not coronavirus then? I had a significant cough three weeks ago which lasted a week, he then caught it. If I had caught it three weeks ago today, from someone who was sick touching my keyboard, I'd be immune by now right?

Good to hear he appears to be improving. :)

You and he could have the virus and bacterial pneumonia at the same time.

If you developed a cough 3 weeks ago and still have it today, it's unlikely to be the Wuhan corona virus. However, you should remain quarantined until the cough is significantly better or gone. If it was caused by a virus (not necessarily covid19), you could still spread if when you cough. And if you have bacterial pneumonia like your dad appears to have, you could catch other viruses really easily if you go out in public. If that happens, you could die if you catch a virus that affects your lungs while your lungs are still recovering from this.

If your dad is at your house, then be very careful about going outside and meeting people. If you catch something and bring it back, your dad could catch it and go down hill really fast.

If you and everyone else in the house have stopped coughing and sneezing and you can inhale and breath easily, then you can go out in public. But avoid sick people. :)

I stopped coughing two weeks ago. I only had a runny nose last week. I am today feeling fine! The NHS said if he gets better with the antibiotics then we don't all need to self isolate. The thing is though there are two 90 yos in the house and I would have expected them to have caught the virus if it was virus. I just dont think its a virus and if it was, I would be over it by now wouldn't I?

Is there any way to stop coughing? When I went to air con places like shopping mall I always cough and people look at me like im having coronaviruses even though I am wearing a mask. I also allergic to shrimp, crab, autumn leaf, oysters, squids, cow milk and alpha lactabumin. Everyone that is not my family thinks I have coronaviruses because of my cough. Though I wont cough when in winter (-20c) in japan and rain.

If air con is donig it then it sounds like you just have a dry throat. I can't wear eye contact lenses in air con environments because it makes my eyes dry! Hell I don't even like air con in my car unless its hot summers day! I'd suggest you drink something sugary to coat your throat, when I had a cough I found it useful to sip orange juice throughout the day.
