Connor's Seahorse Journal

I work at a LFS, so i can get anything i want ordered! Since you live in the UK, around my area (london), you may have heard of a tank company called Seabray...? They make custom tanks handmade...most LFS have their tanks on sale or they can order them in. Well anyway, i just got my boss to order me in one...£20, not bad. Comes in a range of colours etc so alls good, and you can add as many lights as you can etc.
Er tbh i think he might give birth soon, as hes not moving around as much, which is the normal sign to when he's gonna have em'

Well i got my self a Mandarin today that eats live brine shrimp really well...i am confident that ill be able to get her onto mysis and stuff :D She's acclimatising now and looks great :D Ive got my mandarin mix of frozen foods soaking in garlic, ready for her!
The tanks stocked up on copepods again, and the cultures outside the tank are looking great :good:

No afraid not...no babies :( Real shame, but i'll have plenty of other oppurtunities.
Everything's doing great in the tank...Seahorse's are doing great and getting bigger and bigger :D The clown is great and doesnt disturb them one bit, she loves to host in the Green Grape Caulerpa. And the Mandarin is feeding great and she's getting more and more confident, both feeding and coming out into the open.
The one annoying thing is i have a load of Aiptaisa...im using Red Sea's Aiptaisia-X, but they come back after a couple of days, so i'll just keep squiting them every couple of days.
I will get some pictures up later today after the water change. I'll also post a picture of my Nano Reef, showing you how different the two tanks are :D

Pics :)
My mandarin's becoming alot more confident, so i can finally get some pics of her :D

Wow!!! Love both of them. You can barely see the seahorses. They blend in so well. Your mandarin is awesome.

Hey, how about using a photo editing program and circle/# your corals and tell us newbies what's what :hey:

Haha your right actually!
Shame about all the aiptasia though...cant seem to get rid of it at all!
Must be using a bottle of Aiptasia-X once every two weeks!
Thanks for the comments

Ive had some aiptasia outbreaks as well...I've decided to just let them take over in one of my tanks. In the other I added 3 young peppermint shrimp and they have certainly slowed their spawning down.

Cool...ill defo get some then!
There's seriously tonnes in the tank!
So, i have another excuse to get an upgrade! :)
1. Tonnes of aiptasia...."Dad, i may aswell start all over again, get a new tank and LR and then transfer the Seahorses over. And you wouldnt want the SHs to get stung :( Plus, i can put the Clowns in the Seahorses old tank once the LR etc has been removed :D"
2. There getting big...very big!
3. A nice tall tank will look great in the living room :)

Ill be going for a Lido 120...wish me luck that i can upgrade :D

all looks wicked.

and good luck with the proposed upgrade! love the lido cracking tank.
