Chuffed To Bits.....

OP now updated with a couple more pics :D
She is doing really well, Germette is perfectly fine and although sore certainly perkier than me after our long day. Anonymous has been doing well, many, many poohs to the point of hilarity, she had a full nappy this morning so the midwives gave her a bath; to which she added a new form of bathing aid: pooh. Changed her earlier (my first solo change ^_^ ) the moment i'd got her new nappy on and sat her up, what did i hear?
The extremely loud creation of a pooh, couldn't stop myself laughing it was huge; she waited, i know it.....
She is a little lethargic though, apparently the pethadine will stay in her system for up to 72 hours (which i wasn't informed of in the birth room), preventing her from being as perky as she should be.
Although when she cries, she cries good!

what sized tank you getting for that then? :p
Funnily enough until now i had been constantly winding the girlfriend with such suggestions, also tried recommending she take a dip in some cold water, to encourage 'egg' release.....
The Cheeks, The Cheeks!!! Oh such a chubby bubby baby
I know! Comparisons so far have been made between her and a cabbage patch doll and a sharpei, they are truly chunky, though not compared to her thighs.
When she frowns she gets one long furrow including eyes and forehead, gorgeous

Anyway i could go on for hours talking about my little anonymous lady, but i won't.
Just settling into the idea that if they return tomorrow then this is my last, almost guaranteed night of having a beer and mooching on TFF without a worry in the world, and although i'll certainly be jumping on whenever i can, i must say; I can't wait for them to get back.

Much and many (or many and much) thanks to everyone who has congratulated me, you are all extremely kind. Thanks lots!

didn't she use a birthing pool then?

Beautiful baby! Congrats! :hyper:
Mine is 4 and still doesn't sleep through the night!
Have fun!!!!!!!!

Just a quick question on the broodiness, have you ever seen a fresh placenta? May put you off.....
Anyhow, enough jokes and more baby for the Wiggles to brood over;

Ame still isn't out, currently she is undergoing treatment for jaundice, i've warned the mid-wife that i think her decision is a bit awry and that realistically the system they have in place for dealing with it has loopholes and seriously pathetic/simple mistakes in it left, right and centre.
I have the results for analysis by a family member (doctor) and the McGerm family is making a clan visit tomorrow once we have decided on the best course of action.
:flex:
Thanks all for the compliments!

congratulations :)

(I cried)

I know it sounds cliched but... make the most of it and take loads of photos... they really do grow up quick...
It seems like only yesterday but our first is now nearly 10 months old!!

Cheers Smith, i plan too.... I really had the tears there but the moment the doctor said i should let it out my mask slipped back on and the moment was killed.
RDD muchos gracias, didn't notice your post earlier, erm... Thanks Merry78 who has helped out on the jaundice angle, everyone (too many) :shout:
Many thanks!
Pics to follow the moment i get her home!

She is so pretty. Children are a blessing. (even when they don't sleep) I hope you get her home soon.
With my boy they just had me get him naked and lay him where the sun would shine on him... :shifty: Makes me think ... Do you have a planted tank... Those lights might work.
Can't wait to see more pics. :good:

congradulations germ! just thought you could have the blessings from a king (of sorts) anyways good luck to you, your girlfriend and ame hope you have a good life together :good:

See this is one of the issues i have with their handling the situation, we are in a room partitioned for 3 beds, yet we were kept in the one partition that receives no natural light, i pointed out to them that considering their concerns over jaundice then why were we not found a place by a window, they have plenty of beds.
Also, the baby was scratching to remove her UV blocking goggle things, which upset me, on noticing this the mid-wife declared, "it doesn't matter, she won't remember" i asked her where there was ANY evidence to suggest/prove this to which she admitted that there wasn't any = moron. I can appreciate she is only trying to reassure me but the reassurance i want shouldn't be based on assumption.
Theres a few more issues but groan over, thanks IceeGrl :good:

Congrats to all of you!! Looking forward to the pics of her growing up.
