ok im makeing my third attempt at this tonight and it seems like im haveing alot more success this time, i guess indian almond leaves did the trick :D but they haven't did it yet -_- iv got questions.

the male is not building a nest, but is up in the cup trying to, can i remove the cup? hes spending more time on trying to build a nest thats not happening than he is trying to do the female.

and for the fry when do i starte feeding them micros and bbs? i have java moss but im doing the spawn in a very small tank now and im going to keep the fry there untill they are free swimming and a little more hardy.

no offence to my male but hes a bit of a dummy, i dont se him being a good dad at all, i accually ahve nighmares of him eating upp all the baby fish, i dont ahve to have him in there do i?

any help is appritiated

Patience. Just leave the cup and leave them be. If he's not hurting her than there's nothing to worry about. You can't rush him.

As for feeding the fry, feed them when they're free swimming. BBS at a week or so. But first you need eggs ;)

yea i know, i took it out and they just both kinda lost interest, i put it in with some bubbles from the female community and he went right to work on it, i didn't witness any spawning but of corse i didn't monitor it ver much, i put them both in at like 7pm and the were in until 3am before i removed both fish and called it a night. i dont know if theres any eggs so im just going to keep the water heated for now and c if anything hatches. patience is definately not one of my better attributes, i guess iv gotta just sit tight and let them go at it when their redy ;)
