So here's the plan. Following Alm0stAwesome suggesting my fish need a break. I have a cunning plan. I have to go to work today for 3 weeks, so now is the best time to give the fish a break, as it lessens the burden on my girlfriend taking care of them, as she works 8-6 everyday.

I am going to take the Pigeon Bloods out of the upper breeding tank, and put big daddy in there on his own. That way Mum can watch the wrigglers, and should they make it to free swimming stage she will be there to feed them. In the mean time Dad can recharge his love sack, and when I get back home they can be reunited.

The wrigglers look ok, but they are all(except a few) in the catch tray. I have put the wire back, but adjusted it so that Mum can get under it to pick up and kids that might fall on the tank floor.

If the fry go free swimming in 5 days, then he can go back and help with feeding, but for now I will see how mum gets on being alone.

Thanks guys. There are actually hundreds of wigglers and they look ok just now. Plan is not to feed mum until they go free swimming. This will minimise any waste and dirt being on the floor of the tank, so should any fry fall down they will fall on to a clean surface.

Aww, so cute! I wish I had room to even keep discus let alone breed them!
I'll stick to breeding my betta's and my kribs when they get their act together :)
