I got to say what an awesome read, i was hooked after page 1, i'm sorry about your previous attempts, and applaud your patience and dedication for carrying on.

Not at all - you never know what the future may hold and it's now set up how you want regardless of where you put it. Sounds like good thinking to me

I reckon your problems with the pigeon bloods has ultimately stemmed from them being too young. Looking forward to seeing how this pair do.

You are spot on about my pigeons, they are so young, and actually over randy me thinks

This pair are much older and bigger(fully grown). Painting the tank at least gave me something to do for a couple of hours, and it does look nice

..........breathing the fumes gave me a headache though

have you ever considered entering your main tank in the monthly contest?? think youd have a great shot at it! simply beautiful your fish just seem to POP! in that tank. VERY nice

I wouldnt go as far as to say the blyue male is dull... unless that pic adds a little bit... I think they are both pretty fishies

Those guys have been in the breeding tank for 24 hours, so need a little while yet before we can expect any real action.

I didn't mean it to sound like they aren't pretty fish, is just that they are the most common strain, so not quite so cool. Still a good pair though.

I put the tank in this months comp, but I have a really cheap camera and it is as much about the photo as the tank. I need to treat myself to a decent camera and then maybe I can get a good pic.

Off out to get some live brine shrimp for my pair now. Hope that will act as a good stimulant to get them in the mood for luuuuv!

Wow this thread is captivating!! Just read the entire thing. My 4 month old baby is throwing a fit cause I haven't been paying attention to him at all! You're sure to get some lovely tots at some point. Hope you keep at it and let us all in for the ride!!

24 x 18 inches(about 80 liters), obviously only for sexy time

Normally they live with their pals in much bigger tank.

Nothing much to report this weekend. After looking like they were about to get it on, they suddenly lost the lust

Now they are just a couple of lazy old kippers! I might introduce another fish to spark their jealous streak and get them all fired up again.... Maybe Peeping Tom is the man for the job.
