I've just brought home a tank mate for Mango - a little Albino BN Plec.

He/she is not sexable at the moment.

However, would it be viable to cross-breed in the future with a common BN Plec?

Has anyone done this with success?

its best to breed brown to gold especially when the brown is split for gold as u get cracking gold young!

The common bristle nose has actually been officially classified recently - Ancistrus cf. cirrhosus

Planet Catfish has loads of pics of the different "strains" of the same fish...
Albino, Piebold, long fins etc etc...

Woah, I bet the veiltails will set you back a few pennies.

I paid about £7 for my albino longfin at about 3". Its not as nicely coloured as my regular albinos though.
