Blue Phantom Pleco

Thanks ever so much for the offer, but I dont think I'm experienced enough to breed - and with my new tank coming soon I'm a bit skint for now. I also have to move and set up my 2ft tank (and cycle it) all over again as it's currently where the new tank is going, and has been empty since the cory eggs were in there. I may take you up on it some time in the future though - am I right in thinking they dont get as big as common bns?

yep - our adults are about 4-5"

Breeding them isnt that hard once they start spawning - I'm sure you keep on to of water changes, thats the main thing - that and lots of food for the fry.
The actualy egg and fry care is done by the male... once they are out in the tank they take care of them selves.

Sorry to hijack the topic, but Smith, have you got any pics of your adult L183's. We are seriously considering something striking for our main tank. Are they as active and friendly as normal BN's?? We will soon be moving our L260's and want a small active plec for our main planted display tank.

:D

PM'd you - ;)

Aww that's a shame, I thought they only got to 3-4" max. I dont think I'd have room for two in my 2ft. One of my other concerns about breeding is that I dont really have enough room for another tank set up (other than the 2ft, and big tanks), so wouldn't have a growing on tank.

Thanks though - really appreciated the offer.
