Blue Phantom Pleco

Nice collection. They are seriously addictive.

I do plan on getting another small plec, just thinking deciding what to get. We had a L204, but the little guy didn't last very long. I think he may have been too small. There was no sign of disease and he was eating well.

So we're looking for something along those lines. I love the L204's tails.

I do love my L260's, they are so gorgeous. They're the reason we got into keeping small plecs.

:good:

Sorry about your L204, it's always hard to lose one. We lost our Magnum Pleco a couple of weeks ago and we were gutted.
We also like the small Plecos although one of my favourites was the Adonis, unfortunately they get huge!!!
We're looking at getting Plecos that don't grow over about 8" but there's too much choice!

Thanks, it was very upsetting finding his little body. Thankfully I didn't have any scavengers in the tank, so I was able to find a body.

So sorry to hear about your magnum  . I saw a few at a LFS the other day. They were too cute. The guy was trying hard to convince me to get one. Although I thought they were gorgeous, they just get bigger than what I want. :/

Oh well, it's nice when you want something, can't find it for ages and give up and pop into a LFS and there is the perfect specimen. So I'll just wait patiently.

Hope you're going to post some pics of your other lovelies too.

:D

As soon as they are settled in their new tank I will post some pics.
Here's the tank at the moment, still needs some work on it!

Beautiful pics in your signature, by the way!

Wow, that tank is going to look amazing with your plecs in it. Gorgeous. Are you going to put anything else in with them??
And thanks, those are the best pics of my babies in my sig. My female L260 refuses to pose nicely for another close up though :fun:

:D

It's a nightmare getting them to pose, isn't it?
We've still got to add bogwood and slate to create plenty of caves and some plants to give it a bit of colour.
We've got 3 Pictus and 3 Pearl catfish that are going in there. Also 5 Ticto Barbs which are beautiful little things.
Planning on adding some different Barbs at a later date.

Sounds amazing. Although, I can't believe how long it takes to setup a tank. My hubby took months before he was finally happy with his 4 foot, and I am still trying to get mine to look half decent.

My female L260 used to pose nicely when I had my other camera. In fact she'd come out if she saw it and have her fins up and everything. But that camera died and we got an Olympus with a huge lense and she hates it. She hides away when I get it out. My male Arabesque on the other hand doesn't mind it much. The same with the L134's. Funny little things.

Look forward to your tank when you've got all the fish and plants in. Will look amazing.

Keep well
:D

Funny little things, that's why we love them!
Will post pics as soon as I can.
Nice talking to you,
Angie

Love your GP too stang, I really really really want one and am finding it hard to resist, but I keep getting told I cant put omnis or carnivores in with my royal, so god knows what I'm going to put in my 7ft plec tank LOL. Well, with two commons, two bristlenoses and a rusty going in there, there's already going to be a lot of omnis...so...well...erm....one more wouldn't kill right? *nudge nudge wink wink*

I cant believe I'm such a big plec fan and yet my collection isn't nearly as interesting as many of the folks on here. Apart from the above, and two whiptails - that's it. I'm really lagging behind in the plec stakes lol!

Ps. Beautiful tank so far, cant wait to see it finished!

PPs. Alex + Carmen - I love your plecs too - always admired your signature pics, they're beautiful :)

Thanks Lisa, but you're Pleco collection is beautiful. My other half really wanted a Royal and after seeing your Rusty I wanted one of those! As for Whiptails they are another stuning fish.
You can never have too many Plecos, it's just room, isn't it? The only reason we got this new tank was to house more Plecos!
It'll be great to see your tank when you've got it sorted. 7ft.....

I wouldn't expect anything super snazzy or posh, I'm on a reeeeaaaaally tight budget. Ask me again in a couple of years and it might be nearer being finished LOL!

Thanks for the compliments on the fish - I love seeing yours and other folks here too, only problem being it makes me want more!

I've actually posted on Plecofanatics asking what I could add to mine once the 7ft tank's set up....god I'm bad...

Hey...it's got to be done!
That's the trouble with coming on this forum, seeing what nice Plecos everyone has.
Believe it or not, I wasn't that bothered about them until I brought my other half a couple of Bristlenose Plecos, it all went downhill from there!

Yep, bristlenoses are my undoing too. Hubby brought me home a girlfriend for Wilf when he picked up Jim, knowing I love them so much.

In fact, Trimar are doing claros, I'm tempted by a pair for my 2ft tank....lord help me, I'm past saving!

Ooh Lisa...you temptress!
Just checked one out on Planet Catfish and I want one!!!!
Go on, get one. You know you want to.... :hey:

Lisa,
If you looking for something a bit different to try and breed - I have 8 L183 fry that are about 1" TL that I'll be selling sometime soon.
I cant sex them yet though... I've got a few older ones but all seem to be male (excep for our adults).

How do you feel about posting fish?
