Birchir Has Red Tail

My birchir was fine until yesterday when I put some blood worms into the tank. Now i've noticed that his tail is starting to go red. Any ideas y this mite be and if its serious? Thanks

My Bichirs tail goes red sometimes, not sure why. There's nothing wrong with him.
What type of bichir you got and whats your tank size?

Blood poisoning/septicaemia from ammonia in the water is most common in heavily fed fish/meaty food eating fish... What size tank is it in?

Emergency water testing I would say!

Mine is defo not to do with ammonia, mines 0 nearly all of the time!

Yh my ammonia 0 aswell. Must b summin to do with the bloodworm. Never had any problems b4

For me 0 and 5.

Ive noticed it seems to go red before he does a massive poop.

Could be that?
