bid on a delta...got a veil...

Maybe the seller actually believed that they were deltas and now she is just doing what most of us do when we are uhm, cornered. Lots of people saying she doesn't know what the bettas are and suspecting that she is a scammer.

But if she isn't a scammer, she will eventually understand that she really should do the right thing. She still has a chance to keep her good reputation.

I hope it turns out ok. I personally hate arguments, but this should be corrected.

I see that people on aquabid keep talking about you getting a flaring picture.

Maybe you could show them a picture of an unflared delta to compair to the veiltail so they can see how different the tails look, even when they aren't flared.

I don't see why people would be selling bettas or sticking up for one person or another when they don't know what a delta tail is.

Ughhh... sorry to keep dwelling on the same fact. :/

id still leave her negative.. even if she does refund your money.. i was kinda mad i didnt deal with my seller through aquabid, i would have left the worst possible feedback... but whatever you do is up to you.. it would be nice to get your money back, but you still will be out $20 or whatever.. she should let you keep the extra fish tho

theres a lot of reading i just did and my brain hurts a little but did he/she try to throw in the "marbles change colours" situation in to try and play out the missing colours.. unless im mistaken some info but like i said, i just did a lot of reading and my brain hurts :p

i posted on the reply on aquabid my opinion

i'll throw in my 2 cents now that i've seen both pictures and it is a veiltail and the picture on the auction was VERY misleading especially when the only way to tell a betta is buy the tail on most parts and it was cut off by the overlapping picture and return shipping would be extremely stressfull on the fish considering what it went through to get there, its a very nice looking fish but as said you can get them for $3-$5 at a store, the auction picture alone should be enough for a partial refund because i dont care who you are you couldn't tell what kind of betta that was... if i bid on a Delta i would expect a Delta not a Veiltail, its understandable fish can change colours do to stress or whatever but im pretty sure they can't change tail formation

i think jacs wants this to be handled with maturity, rather than trying to make a fool out of anyone. I dont' think it's necessary to make anyone feel stupid, the point is to get the situation resolved.

i would leave her with neutral feedback at best even if she does refund your money at this point -_-

thanks cc. name calling doesnt do anything except get you in trouble :(
she has not responded to me posting the emails in the forums so she still has a chance to prove that she can do good and maybe salvage her reputation as well.
if i receive no response or one that is unsatisfactory and/or rude, then i will leave the negative feedback and post my situation on the other forums.

i think rain made a good point that lina might not have realized the fish was a vt, and when cornered-she rebutted.

whatever the situation, lina will be in my prayers.
and if God would allow me to pray that i get my $32 back, then i would! :) but i dont think He likes that sort of "prayer" :*)
:)

Well I think I will stay away from this bidder now. I will definately only buy from 100% feedback. Also if this lady cant tell the difference between a viel and Delta, then this makes me not want to buy from her for sure of my 2 deltas NONE , I repeat none look like that. Although my Veiltails do look like the fish in question. I would also get her to have the breeder send you an email and tell you in writing it is a delta (whgich I doubt they will) If the fish was a delta an experianced breeder like Jac would not have trouble finding out what fish it is.

Betta_Lova, why are you concerned about aquabidders? You dont buy from there.(so you say) I see you are having feedback trouble yourself on there.

Jac , I would ask for the breeders contact info and try to let her know this person is pushing VTs and calling it her fish.

even 100% feedback can be deceiving.. i bought from someone like that and they bsed me for 2 months.. and still never sent all the fish.. its hard to know who to order from.. hopefully noone has to deal with crap like jac has to deal with

Apparently "felicity" is also "lotsoffish". Hmmm...

lotsoffish from aquachat.. i know that person.. dont really talk to them much.. but ive seen them there... interesting

I just replied over there also, I wasn't super nice, but ya know, I was in a semi-similar situation and it sucks! Plus, I buy many fish from there and it's not right that a seller can represent their fish as something they are not.

Here's what I posted:

They are nice fish, nice VEILTAILS! Why should Jac have to go through the hassle to ship the fish back? So you can resell them as "deltas" to someone else? No raw deal for you there...

Personally, I would think jac is still getting ripped off paying $15 for a VT trio. They are beautiful fish, I don't think anyone is arguing that, however they were falsely advertised.

Have you considered that perhaps Jac has the fish's best interest in mind here. Shipping is stressful, they will be better off just staying put.

Send the $32 and be honest in future auctions, and the rest of us should take to heart that if a picture looks misleading...it probably is.

All I have to say is, wow. Jac, I honestly think you should just get the full refund. This way, you can save the trouble of this ongoing war and be done with it. If you can find these fish at Walmart, go do it. However, this seller is seriously over doing herself. How can she even think of saying it is a DT when she overlayed the pictures? You should have asked for more pictures of the fish. Also, if I were you, I would research your opponent bidders, to make sure it isn't her buffing up her own auctions on different accounts...

I just want to say that this is the type of thing that makes me feel like we are family  We may have "healthy debates" and disagreements with each other sometimes, but when it comes down to it, we stick together

Nobody better mess with us :flex:
