Betta Conditioner

I do not get that stuff. Because I get a little freaked out about stuff that does all that. But if you feel it would help you should try it. I am not really even using my am+quel.

KG Bettas in the UK sell this stuff, and considering betta's is what they sell, I can't see them selling something that would do damage to one of the fish, so I supose it can't hurt to try it :D

I've heard nothing but great things about it, but I know that you can make your own for, probably, cheaper than it's sold.

There is a big post in the FAQ about indian almond leaves, and the extract, basically it conditions the water so that it is like the natural habitat. I use it all the time, they love it. Much happier and bigger stronger bubble nests

I saw that stuff to, but, thern i went to my local petsmart and it wasnt there

It sounds like it would be wonderful for the bettas. I'll have to check out my local Petsmart when I get home.

I use it for all my bettas, but especially for babies. The stuff is excellent. I also use IAL's in the boys and spawning tanks as the lads like to build nests under them or use them to lie on!  I highly recommend it. And if your local doesn't have any you can try ordering it in there. My lfs gets it in when I ask them to.

thx for the advise this forum truely is the best!! :good:

I don't know much about this and am curious - when do you use this conditioner, all the time in your bettas water or just during stress when the betta is prone to illness? Can/should it be used continually?

You can use it all the time. It makes the water ideal for bettas. It's suppose to be like their natural habitat or something like that. I've heard that it's really good for breeding. My petsmart (or anywhere else around here) doesn't sell it. I wish they did. I just might have to order some. I've been thinking about it. It would help the next time I breed, I'm sure.

You can also get it from the IBC website. Yes, non IBC members can order it.
I find that older fish respond to it better, as does Thai bred fish.

Betta spa is fantastic stuff - i use it in all my tanks and especially in the breeding tank. you can buy it off kev at kg bettas. he uses it all the time. he doesnt sell things that he doesnt use himself.

Hes actually got an offer on at the moment buy a bottle of betta spa and and a tub of betta starter for half price.

ABSOLUTE BARGAIN
