Sorry if this has been asked a million times already, but where do you get your jars? I eventually want to breed bettas, and want to know how much money I have to save in order to buy everything. What do you use, and, on average, how much each did they cost you? Links would be helpful. Thanks.

If you are talking about traditional Betta Jars it's $4-6/each. But you have to import it in Thailand. I'm not sure if it's locally available there.

I'm no betta breeder, but there is an awfully abundant source of plastic cups under the Wal-Mart fish section's storage thingy. But I'm a clepto.

I've asked friends and workmates to save their 3 and 4 litre milk and juice bottles for me. If I start collecting now, I might be ready in a few years :p

It might be worth buying "real" containers if breeding is something you think you'll stick with, but for me the plastic bottles will do for now!

I use the Sterilite brand plastic storage containers made for holding CDs. They're less than $2 each, come with a lid, and are stackable. I just drilled a hole in the corner of the lids of all mine to feed the fish through, that way I don't have to unstack them or anything :)

Great minds think alike, OhMyDog. At the grocery store, I've seen a 6 pack of mason jars for $10. They are half-gallon (64 oz.) mason jars too.

Get this in my local poundland they have 6 packs of quart jars for obvioulsy £1 and i bought 10 packs of em so far
