@Ps3Steveo soil doesn't run out so to speak. The consensus on the "depletion date" is about 8-10 years according to who you read.

So you think a soil like that in a high tech planted tank is fine and the N&P will last with a perfectly level amount being let into the water column for 8-10 years? I'd like to state to the OP that some baked cat litter will do just fine and it will keep a lot of nutrients as it soaks up what's not used. Also about the same price as some miracle grow lol.
