Ben's 400l Wet Thing

havent moved it since! We will see how things go,
The calcium reactors getting on my nerves now. My waters about at NSW levels now so i thought id set it up. Some how, the tmc regulator doesnt fit onto the TMC CO2 bottle. Not impressed!

Yer, that's not great... It's annoying enough when they make stuff a special size so you can only use their stuff with it, but when the size is so special their own stuff don't work with it.... :/ I think you've got some moaning to do at TMC

All the best

i didnt buy the reactor new though, got it off ebay for £40. So i dont know if theres anything i can do, besides look for a new bottle or regulator

Ok so things have taken a major turn for the worse recently.

I now have no fish in my tank what so ever. A QT tank set up in the middle of my floor with the fish in. White spot broke out in a big way. The fish are all on meds. Bought a UV too.

Power blue has gone, he was becoming a bit of a PITA and showing signs of WS. He got swapped for a couple of little frags. He is now residing in a QT waiting to move into a stunning tank.

EEEk, the dreaded spots  Good luck with treatment. Copper pulls them round fast IME, but wasn't an option for my home tank when I hit this issue

Good luck :good:

All the best

Oh dear thats not good at all.

Hope all the others make it ok with the meds.

Suppose you will be leaving it fallow for the next 6 weeks or so??

Good Luck -_-

I dont know if i can leave it for 6 weeks. Im worried about the fish crampt in a small space now

No fish, whats going on Ben, did you not have any cleaner shrimp? They always sort out the white spot. Good luck with the meds and getting them back in mate.

how do they clean up white spot?

i'm intrigued!

Pin the fish down and rip the spot off... Great for a mild one or two spots, but for an infestation, not too effective...

My Regal tang had awful white spot once, i thought i was going to lose it, the cleaner shrimp or doctors as i call them done a fantastic job and no doubt saved its life, i would always have them in my tank, i guess they just nip it in the bud before it goes to far. Ben, try putting some in your QT before the med, it might work. Its got to be worth a try, if the fish are in a small confinded area they will have to have a clean at some stage.

i have a really big cleaner shrimp. hes more fussed about eating fish flakes than cleaning though! theres way too many spots on him for it to be effective i think. I actually seems to have cleared up in QT in the other fish. Just a tang with loads now

Just thought id let you know...

i have had to put the fish back into the tank. The QT was too small, the tangs were getting stressed. The banner had a real strop on. Worried about that lil fella.

The good news is, theres no sign of WS on any of the fish. Ive added a TMC UV unit which has been running on the tank for a bit to try get the WS out the water collum. I just thought id lose the fish leaving them in a tiny tank. Hopefully il not see the spots again. Il not be adding a fish for a while though.

I would take you some pics as the tanks changed again. Knocked some rocks over cleaning so had to re-do it. But i have a terrible hang over. Big night out for a mates 21st yesturday. Then at 7 am im getting up to travel to london following the blades.
