so what ur all saying is let the other fish die to. i would never give the fish to anyone or to a store because ity would be sold again and kill again. i cant believe u ppl. think its ok to let a KILLING fish keep killing. and it has nothing to do w/a baby, nothings dieing because a baby crys, but fish die from being killed. i dont see how u think its ok to let it stay in the tank and keep killing.

you dont have to be a smartass too. no i would not react that way because i am able to control my emotions and know theres this thing called the food chain. there is always a possibility of fish eating other fish. you take that risk when you house them together.
you torturing the molly will not bring your fish back and the molly has no idea why you are torturing it.
that is probably more cruel than those betta bubble bags. so dont protest cruelty when yuo yourself practice it in worse forms.

you know-you could have switched out the LIVE fish at the lfs for a different one too. you dont have to kill it first...
thats awful that you would kill a fish because it did what its instincts told it to do. thats certainly not something to be proud of either.

fish arent evil. people who kill fish are evil. also you could tell the person you give it to that it killed your fish and suggest they have a species tank with only that kind of fish in it.

so u honestly think that its compatablity problems? molly r supposed 2 be "peaceful". i control my emotions good, but when it kills 7 fish, thats it. and how is euthanisum tourture? many ppl. do it. and a molly isnt on the top of the food chain. i think u need 2 do some reading! and its not cruelty. i stabbed it by accident, and its not really stabbing because its not even a sharp object. its like hitting it trying to catch it. thats a mistake i bet many ppl. make.

i know you are just trying to rationalize killing your fish but you know deep down, it was wrong. and if you dont-i truly feel sorry for you. you obviously cannot control your emotions because you just tried to killed a fish out of anger. in your post it sounded like you meant to stab the fish. you say you didnt but then you said "the dam molly wont die.no matter what i did 2 him he lived i put him in feezing water. i stabbed it w/the net. i took him out of water, took away the air stone. and now hes in a vase! living while barrys dead in the ground!!! ." so that says to me that you are intentionally trying to kill the fish.
i dont think there are fish murderers like there are people murderers. fish do it out of instinct. people do it out of hate. to say the fish is a spawn of satan is pure ignorance. you can still give the fish away and inform the person that it killed your fish.
you also did not euthanize your fish. you tortured it. humane euthanization is cutting off the fish s head or giving it clove oil or vodka.
i didnt tell you to let it stay in the tank. please read more carefully.

have you checked every store? if you can bring back a dead fish, then you can bring back a live one. that just doesnt make sense. and if you cant, it still doesnt warrant killing the fish.

none of the fish stores i've been to accept live fish. i don't know why, and i wish they did accept live fish....but, i can't help that they don't. if it ain't dead, you ain't gettin ur money....thats just the way it is here.

i know, that did sound mean, i was mad wheni wrote that, but i tryed to euthanise it kindly. i really didnt want to, because i honestly felt bad, but i was thinking of the other fish that id save if i did that. but i didnt die. i tryed all the euthanisum, except the cutting of the head 1. so i just put him in the tank. i didnt kill the fish though.

the price of the fish plus the price of the fish it killed....and like i said, it probably would've died anyway from not being in a group...might've felt stressed out without it's companions. the 5 i tried before this one had all died....this one didn't wanna go. i wasn't going to waste any more time on them, and since i couldn't return it live, and i wasn't going to get anymore of that kind to accompany him, i just got rid of him, and got something different. i have no friends, family, neighbors, or anyone i know who would be interested in taking in just one fish....so giving it to someone wouldn't work out.

please stop rationalizing it. you killed the fish because you wnated another fish. people like that should not be in this hobby. im sorry if thats harsh but most people in the hobby kill fish on accident. it is a whole different ballgame when you kill a fish because youd rather have another.

Here's a simple solution to lfs's that refuse to take fish off your hands. You walk in with the fish in a bag, you hand it to anybody in the store (employee) and you walk out without breathing a word.
