All I have in my tank in softs, but the tree types are really hard to keep i have a mini fridge and a freezer full of different coral foodsIt's always money with this hobby hahaa.... It's ok though, im due a lottery win anytime now.
I think i'd probably just go soft at the moment, there's still plenty of variety you can get with softies, no real need for hards?
I really like the 'tree' types, and think they give the tank depth, together with polyps and mushies i think thats all ill get for now. I'll try and get a variety of colours though.
I have also decided not to add any more fish for a month or so, but add corals instead.
Keep the updates coming

Tank's looking great!! Well done hon!! I did actually get my 900 set up at the end of April like I said I was going to, and thanks to you and your fab thread, everything's doing really well and coming on nicely. What a money pit though! Eeeek!!!

Glad some1s learning from my mistakes lol im a lot more confident now thanks to some people here so I'm glad I can hand what I've learnt so far back to those just starting out
Oh boy don't I know about money pit smashed through £200 this month on what seems like nothing lol
I'm still running on the MariSys thing but I've got a sump on order which should arrive sometime next week. Bought a great big secondhand oak 'sideboard' which the tank's now on, that's got plenty of room for a sump so had to do it! Still gotta figure out how I'm gonna get the water down there yet. Don't really want pipes coming out the top of the tank so was thinking along the lines of a syphoned overflow box but they're not cheap. Will probably try and pick a few brains on the forum to see what's the best way.
Lights are still the originals - everything's doing well under them so will leave them for now.
Here's a pic - hope you like it
