While there are some mods who could deal with GC, there are some who can't. One in particular was responsible for it being closed in the first place (some of us remember the truth ) and while that mod and a couple of others are around, there will never be a GC.

Just move on, do your GC somewhere else, you may find a more "friendly" forum if you look around.

Multiple people talking and having a luagh in a general discussion is easy, doing it via email or pm, how does more than 2 interact on a proper level

Then choose option 1. Nice and easy

Or use live chat. Indeed, one could use PMs to organise everyone in live chat at the same time. Live chat is much better than a general chat so long as you have about 5 or more people in there.

Hell, the glory days of King Andy, his wenches, CFC smoking at the computer, lard, Hooligan, Erised, Paul_MTS, Troutfly, BoozeyBear and far too many people drinking while chatting were truly glorious, and much better than anything that ever occurred in our GC section

Well with that mature attitude you really are doing the cause for a general chat the world of good.

However, in the spirit of helpfulness, why not create a purely General Chat forum and have a link to it in your sig. Then anyone who really wants a GC area can hit that site while also looking here.

There really are so many more creative solutions to this than just sitting moaning because the mods don't want a GC section.

The crappy live chat dont work for everyone (maybe if they updated it to a good one it would)

I did that and put the link in my sig, they was forever removing it.

Its not that the mods dont want the section, is more they are to born idle to run it... simple, let the members run it, have members who modertae it (its easy to setup and do that)...
