well I've bought a new kitten today, pick her up sunday as she'd just come in today, she's this teeny little black ball of fluff, I'm soooooo excited about getting her  complete sweetie she was fast asleep when I first saw her, kept yawning and stretching and just looking completely cute, then she woke up and played with me, she just wanted loads of cuddles and love, perfect timing as well as I've just been signed off sick for another fortnight so I'll be at home to referee for at least 2 weeks

Great timing :good: Good luck and hope you're better soon.
Report back with some photos :hey:

thanks, i hope i'm better soon too, off indefinately now until work sort out a decent chair for me and some other stuff to enable me to return  ah well, sure new kitten will alieveat the boredom of being at home!

I will do, I'll get the camera batteries charged up and ready for sunday, I can't wait
:D

Congratulations :)

I get the impression you've got her rom a pet shop though from the way you posted?

If so, she'll need Frontlining, worming and her first vaccs (ater testing) ASAP - it's unlikely she'll have had anything but over the counter treatment.

You might want to consider having her tested for FIV and FeLV too. It's unlikely her parents were vacc'ed if they've been handed into a petshop, and therefore it's a real risk.

Can't wait to see pics :)

well we've had her since sunday and she's settling in really well, she was treated for fleas and worms before we got her but I've got her booked in with the vets next week to have her first vac's and get thoroughly checked over, I'll also get her chipped and in 6 months when she's old enough I'll get her spayed too :)

she's just the cutest little thing ever, just wants to play and cuddle, I'm completely covered in scratches from nher cos she hasn't yet learnt to play without claws.

Mitt's seems to be taking to her OK as well, obviously there not going to be best mates straight off, the first meeting was interesting! But Mitt's is calming down loads, I've got them separated at the moment and letting them meet a few times a day, ever meeting she gets that little bit calmer and just ignores her, so fingers crossed with time and careful introduction they should get along fine :good:

Got a load of pics I'm going to upload and sort through shortly that I'll upload for you all, and a few vids if I can work out how to do it!

:D

how do you seperate them?

shut the door!!!

one of them has upstairs, the other downstairs, swapping them round every few days so they don't establish they're own territories too much and so little one can find her way around the whole house

here's some pics anyway

ooooo what a little cutie ! Congratulations  and well done for microchipping (and planning to do all else) - I think microchipping is extremely important for all our feline friends.

yeah definately, got my other cat chipped and thankfully have never had to use it but it's nice to have that peace of mind :) my mum had to do it when her dog ran off a while ago, godsend, she'd be completely lost without him
