and they probs don't know the origin of the word 'blood'. People have been killed in parts of America for using that word.

I found your comment really interesting so went off to have a look - and you are right, there are many different meanings of the word 'blood'

One of them being a member of the Blackfoot tribe of native Americans. My understanding was a black member of a gang in the USA, which of course makes it even more ridiculous when a white lad from Southern England says it!! However think it is now used as any member of a gang/group, is that correct?

What meaning were you thinking of? (as you can see, working in a secondary school hasn't equipped me for this )

the gang culture in America between the Bloods and Krypts. Also it originated from the slave movement when the blacks would refer to the whites as 'Bloodclots'.
