I use Ai to confront what I'm thinking, and verify it's sources.

And admit trying to screw it as much as possible and blow it in it's sorry face...

Makes you realize, It will automatically concur with your results as long as you are bringing development. So you bring the most arguments.

I'm really tempted, and I understand why... But when someone decides to connect something like the global human knowledge accessible to an extremely precise calculating machine.

I would be really scared to give it imagination.
Personally I hate the AI searches. First, I don't trust anything Google or Yahoo and use Bing as my search engine. Still, even with Bing, Copilot is trying to take control. In my opinion such things as Copilot should be opt in, not out

Until the AI learns how to disguise its answers to look like a normal search result.........

It thinks, therefore it is. At least it thinks it is.........

You can opt out of anything. And have Win11 machines that runs at 150 processes once cleaned.

And have the basic comportment expected from a Windows 7 installation.

But I basically remove 207 applications and disable more than 75 services... And even more scheduled tasks.

At some point. Customers looks at you with the I don't need meteo on a CNC Laser cutter face.

I'm surprised that you have 150 processes going. I'm not about to scroll through Task Manager to count them all but, just scrolling, my main looks to be a hindered or less but that is with Windows 10 Pro.

As to opting out... you should not need to do so. Any and all added functions... except for security measures to a point... should be obviously shown on a Windows Update install giving the option of do it or don't.

Yes more than once it has taken a genus name of a species and consider it the same as another completely different critter in the genus and hten provide information on that other unrelated critter which is totally irrelevant to the actual species i was searching. to my horror it associted a blackwater fish that requires 80 degree waters with a cold water fish that does best at 68 degree and then proceeded to provided alias to this other species. As i frequently tell friends the search lacks the 'I' in 'AI' and given how these engines work there seem no chance in a tall building it could get things right.

But of course companies like facebook and google invest so much money in this stuff that they can't possibly admit how lame it is to anyone.

One of my pet peeves is how time consuming it is for many sites (including this one!!!) to reject cookies. And how on earth can 500+ vendors claim to have a "legitimate interest" in tracking my browsing.

Indeed, the AI results when I search for anything in Google sucks. If anyone knows how to disable this thing, I would appreciate it.

if you have uBlock Origin. This personalized filter removes AI overview from search results. (just need to be modified for your google site used)

What would be better?
Not as a advertisement, but I would recommend Brave. Supposedly private. It still sometimes gives an “AI” answer at the top, but I dont think it alters the order in websites shown.
An Example of a Google Search:

And heres Brave:
